Happy New Year!
Ringing in the New Year, or as our kids did..."bang" in the New Year! I love the look on Kaitlyn's face, and wished I had a picture of it full on. As the kids were banging their pots and pans together, Kaitlyn looked up at me and said, "did we make this up?", meaning do other people bang pot and pans together or are we the only crazy ones? I guess she felt a little silly. With Kourtney, the louder the noise, the bigger the smile on her face! I'm not quite sure what Makell thought about it, but we were amazed she was able to stay up to watch the New Year come in!I can't believe 2010 has come and gone! It's even crazier to think we just closed a decade of history. It seems like yesterday when there was panic with Y2K. Boy, a lot of things have changed since then.
This News Years Eve was spent in our pajamas, playing games, having ice cream sundaes, and practically doing what ever we felt like. It was definitely low key and pretty relaxing!
We sat down together and set goals that we wanted to accomplish as a family in the year 2011. We want to
1- Memorize the 13 articles of faith. 2- Read at least two chapter books together as a family. 3- Go on an two overnight mini family vacation. 4- Read to at least the book of Alma as a family. 5- Hike to the Y on the mountain. We then all wrote down personal goals that we want to accomplish throughout the year. Wish us luck!
