Our Two Little Graduates!

Another school year has come and gone. It seems like yesterday we were school shopping for clothes and supplies!! How time flies!! The girls have had a wonderful year filled with exciting events (field trips, parties, spelling bee's, track meets, and of course school work)!! I remember Kaitlyn's first day of Kindergarten so well!! Lots of TEARS and EXCITEMENT!! It was so exciting to watch her start a new chapter in her "little" life by going to school! I think I cried for a week straight!! She is such a delight to be around and she always makes me laugh!! Having her not home during the day was hard on both Makell and I!! She has progressed so much this year and can't wait to start 1st Grade!! Great Job Kaitlyn!!!! We are so proud of you!!
Kourtney enjoys school more than anyone I know!! She does so well in all areas!! I wish I was as smart as she is!!! (HaHaHa) She has had such a wonderful teacher this year! (I guess I can brag since I am the mom) Kourtney scored in the top 10% in the nation, in the Iowa Tests this year! Yay!! It will be interesting how long it will take before she is ready to end her summer break and want to head back to school. At the Christmas break she was ready to go back after just one week of being away from school! I am not really sure where she gets that from because Adam and I always wished our breaks were longer!! (HaHaHa) We have many things planned for the summer and have started some already (softball). We are so glad that she enjoys school!! She is such a sweet heart and I am really glad to have her home all day! I miss them sooooo much while they are away at school and am looking forward to the summer!!! Great Job Kourtney!!!! We are so proud of you!!!

Makell's First trip to the Dentist!!!

Well, Makell took her first trip to the dentist yesterday! I was a little nervous about how she would handle it but, she did GREAT!!!! She loved ever minute of it! The dentist and his staff make it so much FUN for the kids! I really think they would go everyday if they could. We all went together and made it a family event! Good news!!! All the kids are still in the NO CAVITY club!! Yay!!! (The kids absolutely LOVE the shark tank when you first walk in!)
Makells first experience in the dental chair. Does she look nervous? Not at all!!! They had several toys she could pick from and hold. She loved the over sized toothbrush!
They let her pick a favorite movie to watch as they checked and cleaned her teeth! Not surprised she picked Dora the Explorer!! They even let Kourtney and Kaitlyn come in after they were done with their own check ups to help work on Makell!! Kaitlyn got to hold the "sucker tube"(don't know the proper name) and suck all the spit out of Makells mouth. She thought that was the greatest thing ever!! Kourtney was able to hold the little mirror and check Makell's teeth. Makell loved it just as much as the other girls! I wont be surprised it they start playing dentist at home!
One thing I really like about the staff is you see the same hygienist every time you go. Makell received a letter in the mail last week from Mary, welcoming her and anxiously waiting her arrival! Mary made it so fun for Makell! The kids left with sacks full of fun dental hygiene items! Makell was able to go to the treasures chest and pick a prize! She is sporting her fancy new pink bracelet! Not to mention the balloons and snacks!! Thanks Dr. Jones and staff for a wonderful first experience!!!

Who says working can't be fun?!!

I had to share these pictures! Adam had several things to get done today but still found time to play and have fun! Adam had gotten the wheel-barrow out to do some yard work today and of course the girls had a few ideas of there own!
Ever since I can remember, Adam has always put the girls in the wheel-barrow for rides around the yard. Well today was no exception! Adam's day started really early and he had several things he wanted to get accomplished. Despite the extreme heat and tasks ahead of him , he stopped what he was doing to have a little fun with the kids. They has a ball!! I love the looks on there faces!! They loved every minute of it!!
Adam is such a wonderful father and husband! I am so thankful that he is never to busy for his family! The kids never forget the "little" things he does with them that in return are "huge" and make such a lasting impression on them! Thank you sweetie for being the wonderful person you are!!! We love you!!
I think Adam had just as much fun as they did!( if not more!!) I really think he is the biggest kid of them all!!

My Little Poser

I decided to pull the camera out a few days ago and snap a few pictures. I love the way these pictures turned out!! One thing for sure, Makell is not camera shy! She loves getting her picture taken! I think she looks absolutely adorable here!!
She is definitely my little poser! I was looking back through some pictures and noticed many of them with her head tilted to one side or the other posing!! Those eyes and smile make my day!! She is such a sweet heart! We are so blessed to have her apart of our family!!
This picture definitely shows her true personality! She is so much fun! She is always making us laugh! She is full of it!! (in a good way) There is never a dull moment with Makell. Her older sister just adore her and she loves getting the attention!

"Love Struck"

I have to blog about this!! Can you guess what our girls favorite TV show is? If you guessed American Idol your right! I think this is their official first crush!! Friday was David Archuleta Day!! The girls couldn't wait to get home from school to get their chores done and watch his Homecoming on Live TV! They not only love to watch it on Tuesday and Wednesday nights but, record it and watch it over and over again throughout the weekend!! I was checking the recorded history Friday night and found SEVEN different recordings for David Archuleta !! Oh my goodness, they had recorded every news channel and every time it had aired with the coverage of his Home Town Arrival! I love their facial expressions in this picture!! They are all googly over David Archuleta!
I think David Archuleta's images are burned into the television screen!
I think they sat together in that chair for at least a few hours! This picture cracks me up!! Adam and I just chuckle watching them! They are so funny! I can't wait to show them these pictures a few years from now and see what their reactions will be then!!
David has some HUGE fans living in this house !! It's a good thing they don't have cell phones! Funny girls!!

Planting a Garden!

Last night we "attempted" to plant our yearly garden! Yay! I say attempt because if you have small children you will totally understand! They get so excited about putting seeds in the ground and how quickly they forget that there is a system and prep work that is needed first. Adam spent part of Saturday roto-tilling and leveling the ground so we could start our planting Monday evening. We let each of the girls plant some of their favorite vegetables!! Their seeds consisted of carrots, radishes, cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, tomatoes, and peppers! If we can grow vegetables like we seem to grow ROCKS, it should be fabulous!!!
Adam hard at work!! He does such a great job! I am so grateful for his time and example he is to our family!! He is such a wonderful dad and husband!!
After such hard work the girls decided they needed a break! We absolutely love making new memories together as a family!! More than anything else, it's about spending time together!! I remember my childhood and how most of it centered around doing things as a family. Those times are what I remember most and love reflecting back on. As our children grow older, I hope they will remember these times spent together!! I love to watch my children interacting with one another beside just playing. There is such a wonderful feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment when we do "projects" together!! I am so grateful for them and their willingness to participate and help each other!!
I am surprised the finished product looks as well as it does. We had a few "miss hap's" along the way (mixing seeds, stepping on plants, and playing in the water)!! I have to admit that those are the things that made us laugh and things we will always remember!!! I guess time will tell how productive our "little" garden will be!!

The Recital!

The day has finally arrived!! Kourtney had her piano recital today! She has been working hard and practicing a lot!! With a few butterflies she did a FANTASTIC job! She hid her nervousness well! We are so proud of her and all of her accomplishments!! She is such a wonderful example to her younger sisters!! Kaitlyn and Makell love to watch her play and can't wait until they are able to take piano lessons!!

Her performance! She was awesome!! She told me her goal was to not "mess up". Her timing was right on and didn't miss a note!!! Yay!! GOOD JOB!!!

My Little Princess!

Makell was invited to her very first birthday party!! It's still hard for me to admit she is growing up so quickly! She is still my baby! She was so excited when her little friend brought her the invitation! (The invitation was so cute but I forgot to upload a picture of it) Here is what it said:

I thought htat was the cutest invitation ever!!

Princess Makell was so excited to be able to dress up!! She is so girly! This was perfect for her!

She came back from the party with all sorts of fun stuff!! Her favorite was a princess lip gloss! She kept putting it on and tell us she was a "pitty pincess". She had a great time!!! She also brought home her own "purse" with her name on it! She held and carried that thing for quit a while! Lots of fun!!
