A Gapy Smile!!

An exciting event happened to Kaitlyn yesterday! She lost her very first tooth!!!! Yay!! Oh my goodness was she ever excited!! She was wondering if she would ever loose her baby teeth. I was in the back room when I heard all this commotion happening. Kaitlyn had been playing at a friends house and ran home to tell me her tooth was falling out! She was fallowed by a stampede of kids that were just as excited as she was!! We grabbed a tissue and out it came!! You would have thought it was Christmas or her birthday!! She started jumping up and down with this huge gapy smile on her face!! She looks so cute!! I guess you can say she has been waiting for this for quite awhile! She was a little disappointed last year because she was the only one to not loose a tooth by the end of the school year. I was teasing her and told her was wasn't allowed to loose anymore teeth because it made her look too grown up! She gave me that look of "MOM"!! These moments are so fun but also bitter sweet for me. I love seeing these little event that take place and how happy and excited they are. On the other had it's a reality reminder that my kids are growing up right before my eyes!! Although I love witnessing new events in my children's lives, I wish I could slow down or stop time to enjoy these moments just a little longer!!

One of the first thing she wanted to do was call her dad and tell him the good news!

She woke up this morning to find that the Tooth Fairy had stopped by and payed her $3.00 for that tiny little tooth!! It must have been a pretty special one because we were pretty sure that the Tooth Fairy doesn't leave that kind of money for any ordinary tooth!!

Children's Parade!

What cuties! I love taking pictures of all three girls together! I snapped this picture the morning of the children's parade. Obviously they were pretty excited! They had the options of riding on a float, walking, or riding their bikes. Riding bikes won the popular vote! We spent the night before decorating their bikes patriotic and getting things ready to go!

Kaitlyn was a little scared to ride down the "big" hill but she did great!! She had a lot of fun!

The theme for this years children's parade was "Traditions." The girls were definitely more excited about it then Adam was. Anyone who knows Adam well knows he is not a fan of parades at all! When ever I can get him to go to a parade and ask him what his favorite entry was, he always tells me the END!! I had to tease him a little this year. It was kind of interesting that this year he was opting out to ride his bike with the girls and I said, Hun, it's "tradition"!! Every year we take turns riding with the girls! (Don't break the tradition!!) Very funny!! Guess what entry there group was in the parade? VERY LAST!! See what can happen!! HaHaHa!

All my sweeties! Don't they look so cute? I love them so much!! They all received a free carnival ticket for participating in the parade. Oh Yay, carnivals are my favorite! NOT!!! I hope they forget about them!

Our city is having a week long celebration filled with fun events and another BIG parade! (I hope I can get Adam to go with us. Maybe I will tell him there are going to be some HOT cars he won't want to miss!! We'll see!!) We have some fun things planned for our family so check back for more posts later in the week!!

Up and Running!

The day had finally arrived for Makell to have a ride in daddy's "fast" car!(Makell only describes it as daddy's FASHER car) Adam has been working on his "toy" for several months doing improvements and rebuilding the back end .(what ever that means?) I'm afraid we have a girl who likes fast cars on our hands! Makell gets the thrill just like her dad does when riding in his car. Her face lights up when he asks her if she wants a ride! I love it!! Yesterday Adam finally had it drivable and back on the road. Earlier in the day we had gone with some friends to feed the ducks. Of course Makell wouldn't sleep before we left afraid she would be left out, so after getting back home she told me she was tired and fell asleep on my bed. After a 2 hour nap I still could not wake her up. I mentioned something to Adam and his reply was; "I know what will wake her up!" He walked in and bent down next to her ear and quietly told her that his car was fixed and asked her if she wanted a ride. There was NO hesitation in her eyes! They opened right up and with a big smile she said, Ya! It was so funny!! (maybe I need to bribe her to sleep with a ride in daddy's car?HaHa)
I love this picture!! She was so excited to go with him!! Don't you love the shades?!!! She had to be just like her dad!! She thinks it's pretty cool she gets to ride in the front seat!!!
I asked her if she was ready just before they were backing out of the driveway. I received the Thumbs Up so I assumed YES!!!!
Thumbs up once again! While riding with Adam around the block she kept telling him as she was laughing, "Daddy you keep bumping my head!" After trying to figure out what she was talking about, he realized every time he would accelerate it would make the back of her head bump the back of the seat! I guess you can call them cruising buddies!!! Daddy's little girl!

2nd Place USGA State Tournament

YAY COUGARS!!! This past week you can say we have lived at the ball park!! It was Kourtney's State Softball Tournament. It wasn't hosted locally so we traveled everyday down south for games. (Early mornings and late nights!) Her team did such a great job! They played several games everyday to progress in the winners bracket. Besides the extreme heat it was so fun to watch her and her team do so well!! They played in the Championship game but fell short in the last inning. Even though they didn't receive the title of 1st place, they were all winners!!! They played their hearts out and it was so fun/exciting to watch!!
They all received a metal and recognition for doing such a great job!! What a fun and memorable year!!!
They had each team line up along the third base line while they announced each individual name and their coach presented them with their 2nd place metal!
What made the Championship Game even more exciting was one of Kourtney's really good friends played for the other team! They both did such a great job!!! They were the top two teams out of nineteen others!!! Way to go Kourtney and Aubrey!!!!

4th of July continued again!

Kaitlyn had a great time as well!! There were several friends there to play with. She asked if we could watch fireworks tomorrow because that was the only time she was able to play with friends outside after dark!!
I tried to get an individual picture of each of the kids but failed to get one of just Makell. I love this picture! Like I said before she is a real daddy's girl!!
