Dad's and Doughnuts

Posted by PicasaThis was Makell's first time participating in the "Dad's and Doughnuts" at school!  She has always been so envious of Kourtney and Kaitlyn as she would watch them leave in the truck for school with Adam. She has not stopped talking about this event since it was first announced!  I love the smile on her face!  I am so glad that Adam is able to go and read with the kids at school!  It is definitely a fun and memorable time for them!  Kaitlyn is such a good big sister! After five months of school Kaitlyn still stands in the hall and watches Makell walk to her classroom every morning. She is very protective of Makell. These two really are like best friends!

Our Makell...

This girl cracks me up!  Do you notice anything different about her? ;) This girls does NOT need to wear glasses (I know bc she just had her eyes checked), but for some reason finds the excitement in doing so!  This is an old pair of Kourtney's frames, that no longer have lenses in them.  The last few days I have noticed her sly moves to put them on before she does her homework. She is fine if she thinks no one is watching her, but if you make eye contact, she quickly takes them off to hide them because she is embarrassed. lol!  She told me: "I just like to wear them." :)  I love her!

Pioneer Day

Kaitlyn's class has been studying pioneer history at school for the last few weeks.  They learned some familiar dances like the Virginia Reel and the Texas Star.  They were able to perform them for their parents. Each student surprised one of their parents as they grabbed them to dance the Virginia Reel with them.  Adam was quite surprised!  Kaitlyn loved that her dad was able to leave work early to dance with her!  Fun memories!

* FYI   Kaitlyn was asked multiple times at school if she had to get an overload of shots in her arm.  No, just part of a science fair project. :)  Posted by Picasa

Little Bo Peep... aka Makell!

It was Nursery Rhyme day at school. Each of the students were asked to pick one of their favorite nursery rhymes, and bring something that went along with it. Makell decided to dress up as Little Bo Peep. I think she makes a pretty cute Little Bo Peep!

Circle of Friends!

I love this picture! Whenever I see this picture it puts a big smile on my face! Our Beehive class just did a time capsule activity, and we took this picture to place inside it! The girls are waiting until the year 2022 to open it! I LOVE these girls! They are truly amazing! I am so fortunate to be surrounded by such special daughters of God! Each one of them is a special part of my life! I can't wait to see these young ladies continue to grow and develop spiritually! I am anxious to see what happens and where ten years will take these ladies?!

Gappy Smile!

It's gone! Makell lost her very first tooth! Just a few days ago she walked up to me to prove her tooth was "all of a sudden" wiggly.  Sure enough, it was!  Her sisters told her it was to bad that she wasn't at school when it fell out. FYI: If it falls out at school you get a cute little tooth necklace to carry it around in.  After Makell heard that bit of info, she was insistent on babying that thing until they headed back to school!  The girl still had three days left of her holiday break!  After not eating and walking around with her mouth open wide so it wouldn't fall out, I told her to get a tissue. I explained there would be many more opportunities to get a tooth necklace. So, on New Year's Eve night, out it came! She wasn't to sure how to react when her mouth started to bleed, and she held a tiny tooth in the palm of her hand.  :) Once she remember the tooth fairy would be visiting her that night, the shock dissipated quickly!
Makell: I can't wait until all my teeth fall out!  Lol!

"BANGING" in the New Year!

Posted by PicasaThe girls made it to midnight so they could "Bang" in the New Year!  An apology goes out to all of our neighbors! It got pretty loud!  The fireworks were not us. :) The girls think it's pretty silly and fun! Kaitlyn's face shows her excitement!  Adam thinks it's beyond silly, that's why there is no trace of him outside at midnight! When he saw the girls getting things prepared by pulling the pots and pans out of the drawers, his response was, " Are you serious? Your really doing that again?"  And the girls response was: "Yes we are!!!!"  lol!  Happy New Year!
