On Saturday our family participated in a 5k walk to help find a cure for diabetes. Elizabeth is one of the sweet girls in my young women's class and neighbor who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She is know dependent on insulin injections because her body stopped producing it on it's own. Her father also suffers with this disease as well so it was fun to get together to support both of them! It was such a fun event! The days event raised over 163,ooo dollars for research to help find a cure! Wow! How impressive is that?! We were so glad we could participate and support Elizabeth & Richard and all those others who suffer with this same problem.
Along the route they had pictures of kids who have been diagnosed with this disease. We all were excited to see Elizabeth's picture and had to stop for one ourselves.The kids had such a fun day! Kourtney and Kaitlyn couldn't wait to rock climb. After the walk they had several different activities for the kids to do!
