First Day of Preschool!

Makell started preschool today! She had been anxiously waiting! She has felt a little lost with Kourtney and Kaitlyn at school but her time has finally arrived! With a new school year comes a new little attitude(a sweet one) with it. She feels that she is so grown up and can do anything and everything by herself! She said to me, "Mom, I am really growd up now and I can go to school all by myself"! This year her preschool in is an actual kindergarten class room at the school and she thinks it's the best thing ever! She has made knew friends and just loves it!
I think she will be a future photographer! She told me I needed to turn my head just like this!

The Special Treatment!

On Monday Adam and I celebrated our thirteenth wedding anniversary! Since it was also a holiday and the kids were out of school Adam and I had decided we would do dinner together the following weekend.
To our surprise we woke to breakfast in bed (darn! didn't get any pictures) from our sweet girls! I was surprised they were so quiet and even yet that they had remembered it was our anniversary!

After a lovely breakfast of fruit, toast, and juice in the comfort of our bed we were told that we were getting a "spa treatment" and it would only cost one quarter per person(it was explained that this was a very generous discount because only people with anniversaries or birthdays on this particular day would be offered this amazing deal)! Can you say LUCKY US!


I have to say these girls went all out! We could pick and choose what kind of massage we wanted. They offered massages for the back, feet, hands, and neck.

When we entered the "spa room" we had to sign in and pay. There was a soft dim light from the Dora lamp, lotion, lovely flowers in a baby bottle vase, soft soothing music from the MP3 player, and three beautiful smiling faces!



Nothing like a good foot massage!
We are so blessed to have these three girls in our lives! They make us sooooo happy! I love the fact that they are always doing such cute things for both Adam and I. Forget about gifts and presents, this is going to be something we will always remember! I just LOVE these girls! Thank you Kourtney, Kaitlyn, & Makell for making our day even more special!!!!

A Masterpiece!

What do you get when you give a three year old paper, popsicle sticks, crayons, and glue? A Masterpiece of course!


I observed from a distance as Makell sat there for over an hour quiet as could be gluing and sticking. I kept wondering what was going through that sweet little mind of hers. She was adamant that I couldn't see until she was completely finished. When the last stick had been stuck to the rest, it was time for the big reveal! Makell said, " Don't you just love it mom"?! I DO LOVE "IT" was my reply! I love her little creative mind. To others one may ask, what is it? According to Makell it has a story of it's own! It is the mangers at grandpas farm where the cows line up to eat the hay! Yes! Of Course:)!

Kourtney Turns 10!

Happy Birthday Kourtney! I can't believe we have a child that is a decade old today! We are so blessed that Kourtney is apart of our family! She is such a happy girl! I love the funny little things she does that makes us all laugh. Her smile can brighten any ones day! Since it is Kourtney's tenth birthday I thought I would share ten things about Kourtney that others might not know.

1- She can always make us laugh with her funny sounds and facial expressions.
2- She is very protective of her sisters.
3- She is a great cook and makes the BEST blueberry muffins!
4- She loves to write notes and leave them for people.
5- She is very sensitive and wears her emotions on her sleeve.
6- She has a love for learning.
7- She LOVES her back and tummy tickled!
8- She can touch her nose with her tongue.
9- She eats salad without salad dressing.
10- She is a whiz at Sudoku


We want to wish Kourtney the best birthday ever! She is a daughter that every parent dreams of! She has made the last ten years of our lives absolutely wonderful! We hope your day is a special one! We love you very much!

First Day of School!

I was not ready to send these girls back to school! I feel like the summer went by way to fast and school is starting a week earlier than normal. It makes me reflect back when Adam and I were just starting our family and several people told us, " Make sure you enjoy those babies while they are young because it goes by extremely fast"! Wow...were they ever right! Kourtney starts Fifth Grade this year! She was so excited which didn't surprise us since she has always loved and enjoyed school. She has her first male teacher (Mr. Scoubes)and is really excited about it. We meet him yesterday and in a short time he had figured out how to make her laugh! I think it will be a great year for her!

Kaitlyn starts Second Grade this year. It seem like it was last year I was taking this little girl and dropping her off at pre-school! Really.... where does the time go? I think Kaitlyn was more excited to see and play with friends than actually starting school work. She has a teacher (Mrs. Page) that makes learning really fun! I also think this will be a really good year for Kaitlyn as well!

As for Makell and I we are sure going to miss Kourtney and Kaitlyn! I am making progress! I was able to hold back the tears dropping them off at school! Still teary eyed but no tears:)! I am really excited to have one-on-one time with Makell. She will be doing pre-school but it will not start for a few more weeks.

They Make Me Laugh!

I LOVE these girls! They always seem to put a smile on my face especially when they are all getting along so well with one another! After witnessing their make believe play activity I had to blog about it:)! Meet the "new " happy family! Kourtney as the Mrs, Kaitlyn as the Mr., and Makell as her self (the baby). They spent hours playing and giggling! I love these kind of days!

Kourtney found the baby carrier that hasn't been used in years! I about died with laughter when I saw Makell in it strapped to Kourtney! It totally reminded me of the movie Stuck on You. Is Makell really that big?! I guess this was proof that my baby is definitely NOT a baby anymore!

My Baby Brother is Married!

I can't believe my baby brother is married! On Thursday the 30Th of July Daniel married Stefanie in the Manti Temple. The day couldn't have been better! We are excited to have a new sister-in-law and nephew join the family! I remember the day like it was yesterday when Dan called me down to the house to tell me he was going to ask Stefanie to marry him and showed me the ring he had purchased for her. He told me that he really loved her and Dane and he was sure she was the one! Stefanie is a really sweet girl! Five months later the special day had arrived. Daniel said he wasn't nervous at all but his face and actions said something different;)! It was such a special day and I loved hearing the council their sealer gave them as they start a new chapter in their lives. It reminded me of the day Adam & I were married and how happy the gospel makes our lives and families as we strive to live and follow the council we have been given. I am so excited for them and their new life together! Congratulations Dan and Stefanie!
