J&M's Restaurant!

These two little kiddos make me smile:)! It was my lucky day because I was given an invitation to try out the new J&M's Restaurant for lunch! These two make great business partners and work very well together!
I knocked at the door and was promptly accompanied by a very handsome and happy waiter who said, "Welcome to the restaurant"! He walked me over to the "front desk" to order. As I placed my order I heard the "cook" in the back holler out, "We don't make that" and "we don't make that either"! After several attempts of ordering the waiter whispered I should just order apples and a brownie. The perfect lunch! As I was purchasing my lunch I quickly found out that J&M's might be a little out of my price range:)! As I handed over some coins I was told, "Um, you are going to need more of those. Ya, a lot more than that"! Wow! These kids were all about making money! Future Entrepreneurs?

What a cute little waiter and cashier. The best service I have ever received!

How often do you have a cook come out of the kitchen to ask you how your lunch was:)? What a great cook!

So for two dollars and some change you can enjoy a brownie and apples at J&M's Restaurant!

Makell turns 4!

I can't believe my baby has turned four! Where have the last four years gone? She is such a sweet girl and we just love her to death! It's hard to remember what life was like before we had her. She is such a sweet, fun, and loving little girl. There is not a day that passes that she hasn't given a hug for no particular reason or said/done something to make you smile and chuckle! Makell felt pretty lucky this year because we stretched her birthday into two days! On Saturday we had a little party with just our family and the following day Makell wanted to have everyone over to enjoy her favorite B-day dinner (hot dogs) with her! Why is it when we tell our kids they can choose anything they want for their birthday dinner they always choose hot dogs! Adam tells me to be grateful they don't select something like steak & lobster to break the bank:). All I can say it's a good thing hamburgers go well with hot dogs:)! Makell was spoiled once again! She received some really fun things that will keep her busy for quite a while! Makell chose strawberry short cake instead of the traditional birthday cake to put candles on. We hope you had a super special day and we love you Makell! Happy Birthday! We are so glad you are apart of our family!

Walk for Diabetes!

On Saturday our family participated in a 5k walk to help find a cure for diabetes. Elizabeth is one of the sweet girls in my young women's class and neighbor who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She is know dependent on insulin injections because her body stopped producing it on it's own. Her father also suffers with this disease as well so it was fun to get together to support both of them! It was such a fun event! The days event raised over 163,ooo dollars for research to help find a cure! Wow! How impressive is that?! We were so glad we could participate and support Elizabeth & Richard and all those others who suffer with this same problem.

Along the route they had pictures of kids who have been diagnosed with this disease. We all were excited to see Elizabeth's picture and had to stop for one ourselves.

The kids had such a fun day! Kourtney and Kaitlyn couldn't wait to rock climb. After the walk they had several different activities for the kids to do!
Makell loved getting her face painted!

May Cause Trauma to Your Child!

I had no idea that Stuart Little could cause so much trauma to a child! I was in the middle of folding laundry and Makell asked if she could watch a movie. As we were scrolling through the movies and trying to decide, we came across Stuart Little (1). I told her that it was a cute movie about a little mouse and she would absolutely love it! She was all for it! She was sitting there taking it all in! Later during the movie I went upstairs to gather another load of laundry when I heard a high pitched SCREAM coming from down stairs. My first thought was she had some how gotten hurt. I dropped my basket and ran down stairs to asked her what was wrong? She was sitting in the chair with bright red flushed cheeks and tears streaming down her face. She looked at me and said, " I HATE THOSE STUPID DUMB CATS! I JUST HATE THOSE STUPID STUPID DUMB CATS! THEY ARE MEAN TO STUART! THEY ARE GOING TO EAT HIM"! At that moment it was comical in a way. Then I thought , Oh now what had I done! I was a little shocked at the language(STUPID) my three year old kept blurting out and repeating over and over! It hadn't even crossed my mind how traumatizing a "herd" of cats chasing a little mouse could be. I felt terrible because I was the one that told her she would love it! I picked her up and held her and explained it was a "pretend" movie. As I was holding her it all clicked! This girl is an animal lover! She finds animals everywhere we go. She loves going with grandma and grandpa to visit "Molly" the dog and new kittens at the farm!
Later that night Adam asked her if she wanted to watch Stuart Little with him and she told him NO WAY! I HATE THAT MOVIE, but I will watch Stuart Little 2 with you:)! I wonder how long it will take for us to get over that one?!

First Day of Preschool!

Makell started preschool today! She had been anxiously waiting! She has felt a little lost with Kourtney and Kaitlyn at school but her time has finally arrived! With a new school year comes a new little attitude(a sweet one) with it. She feels that she is so grown up and can do anything and everything by herself! She said to me, "Mom, I am really growd up now and I can go to school all by myself"! This year her preschool in is an actual kindergarten class room at the school and she thinks it's the best thing ever! She has made knew friends and just loves it!
I think she will be a future photographer! She told me I needed to turn my head just like this!
First day of school! The smile says it all!

The Special Treatment!

On Monday Adam and I celebrated our thirteenth wedding anniversary! Since it was also a holiday and the kids were out of school Adam and I had decided we would do dinner together the following weekend.
To our surprise we woke to breakfast in bed (darn! didn't get any pictures) from our sweet girls! I was surprised they were so quiet and even yet that they had remembered it was our anniversary!

After a lovely breakfast of fruit, toast, and juice in the comfort of our bed we were told that we were getting a "spa treatment" and it would only cost one quarter per person(it was explained that this was a very generous discount because only people with anniversaries or birthdays on this particular day would be offered this amazing deal)! Can you say LUCKY US!

I have to say these girls went all out! We could pick and choose what kind of massage we wanted. They offered massages for the back, feet, hands, and neck.

When we entered the "spa room" we had to sign in and pay. There was a soft dim light from the Dora lamp, lotion, lovely flowers in a baby bottle vase, soft soothing music from the MP3 player, and three beautiful smiling faces!

Nothing like a good foot massage!
We are so blessed to have these three girls in our lives! They make us sooooo happy! I love the fact that they are always doing such cute things for both Adam and I. Forget about gifts and presents, this is going to be something we will always remember! I just LOVE these girls! Thank you Kourtney, Kaitlyn, & Makell for making our day even more special!!!!
