2008 Spring Break!!

I am a little behind on the Spring Break update! This year we decided to head south for Spring Break for several reasons! This year the kids were out for 1 full week so we actually felt like we had time to go somewhere and not feel rushed. It had been a while since we had visited Adam's grandparents and found out that Grandpa Shawn and Grandma Kim we coming to visit as well! It had been 1 year since we had seen them. Not to mention we were ready to enjoy some warm weather!! It has been a very long winter and what a better place to head but the St. George area!! It had actually snowed the day before we left! The kids absolutely love going to Great Grandpa and Grandma Heaton's house because there is so much for them to do. They love playing in Grandpa's hay barn, running through the corals, playing on all the grass, grandma giving them ANY treat they want, and being able to play with cousins!! It doesn't get any better than that!!! It's so nice for us adults to just visit and catch up on things!!
Aryn was showing all the kids how to play four square.

Most of the time we just "hung out" at the house so the kids could play but one day we broke away and went to the St. George Temple. It was so nice to enjoy the feeling and beautiful grounds. It was nice to take the kids so they could observe. There were several brides walking around in their beautiful wedding dresses!! Our girls get so excited about that! Adam and I realized that the only other temple we had taken them to was Salt Lake (Temple Square). I am so grateful we took time out to take them there. As we were walking back to the car Kaitlyn looked up at me and said, "I think I felt the spirit mom! I felt really warm when I was sitting on the step of the Temple." I am so grateful for my family! I am so grateful for the blessings of the Temple. I was so nice to be able to enjoy it with our sister-in-law and her children.
I love this Picture!! I think the kids stayed out in the barn pretty much all day besides a few drink and snack breaks!! They constantly talk about the barn!! I think they would live there if we would let them. They have made lots of memories playing with cousins in the barn!!

My Birthday Surprise!

Thank You Mubeen, Madyson, and Zayn for giving me a birthday surprise I will never forget!! It was one of the best gift I have ever received! It all started Monday April 14th. It was the beginning of Spring Break for the kids. This year it was the first time that it had been a week long. Adam had been on the girls about making sure that the house was clean and in order. I had noticed that on Sunday he had started to act a little different. You need to understand that Adam is not a good secret keeper at all!! He starts to act really weird when something it up. He kept telling the girls that the bathrooms needed to be cleaned and their rooms straightened. I asked why he was so insistent and his reply was, "I just want things all done before Spring Break so we can just enjoy a week off to do fun things as a family." OK, very believable and understandable. Unbeknownst to me he had a HUGE secret he was hiding! We had made plans to go to Hurricane the middle of the week . Adam told me that he needed to take the van to work with him on Monday(14th) so he could rotate tires and change the oil before we headed down south. Again, very believable and understandable! The weather was so nice on Monday and I had no car to go do anything so Makell and I had taken a blanket out on the lawn to enjoy the sunshine. Salesmen!!I usually run when I see one coming and I had even been warned by my neighbor I was his next target. For some reason I didn't run this time. As I was sitting on the lawn the salesman approached me and started asking some questions. During the conversation Adam is getting home from "work" with the van. As I was distracted by the salesman Adam parks the car gets out and walks over to me. He asked me if I would help him get some things from the van. I told him I would and the salesman left. As i was rounding the car I noticed something through the window! I turned the corner and TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!! There stood Mubeen! I couldn't believe it!! She had traveled with her two kids(3 & 2 months) to surprise me for my birthday!! It was such a wonderful surprise! I really miss them and they live so far away. I was afraid I wouldn't see Zayn in his baby stage. Madyson is growing up so fast and becoming such a big girl. My wonderful brother-in-law had given Mubeen a trip to Utah for her birthday(1 week after mine) so she could surprise me for my birthday!! Thanks Caleb! Caleb has to stay home and work. We really wished he would have been able to come. It gives us an excuse to plan something in the near future! The kids had so much fun playing and "living outside". He had a great time catching up on things and just spending time together! I guess Mubeen and Adam are better secret keepers than I thought! No one knew about their planned trip to prevent it from getting spoiled! Good job you guys!! I have to say Adam pulled one off!! He was actually able to keep a surprise from me! Thanks you guys!! It was a great one!!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn! Another year has come and gone. I can't believe how fast the years fly by! I remember bringing her home from the hospital like it was yesterday! I wish I had the ability to stop time! I always tell Kaitlyn and her sisters , "quit growing up!" Kaitlyn's reply is always , "Mom, I can't! Heavenly Father made me to grow up!" She is absolutely right! Although I wish time would slow down, there is always new and exciting stages waiting to happen. Kaitlyn has been such a blessing in our family! She is so caring, loving, and the family joker! There is never a dull moment with her! She always makes a laugh! She is sooo girly! She loves to dress up, play house, wear makeup, and sing like Hannah Montana! Kourtney made this cute poster for Kaitlyn's party!
Kaitlyn's birthday cake. Since I am not very creative,(especially when it comes to decorating birthday cakes) the kids get excited about picking out their own decorated cake! I am not surprised Kaitlyn picked chocolate! She is her daddy's girl when it comes to chocolate!
One thing Kaitlyn wanted to do for her birthday was to go to the theatre and see Horton Hears a Who? She was able to spend a fun day with her cousins from Texas! They all had a lot of fun!
I mentioned Kaitlyn is a big fan of Hannah Montana! She knows almost ever song! She was hoping for some presents that had to do with Hannah Montana! What a lucky girl! She was able to celebrate her special day with family and had a dinner, cake & ice cream, and lots of presents! Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!! We sure love you and are so glad you are apart of our family!!

Our Little Piano Player

Our little piano player Kourtney! Kourtney has now been playing the piano for almost two years. She has been blessed with such a special talent! She has been spending a lot of time preparing for her piano recital that is coming up in a few weeks. Her sweet spirit and musical talents bring such a wonderful feeling into our home! She loves playing primary songs while her younger sisters sing. I love to step back and just observe. They are so darn cute! Almost every morning starts off with music from the piano. What a way to start a day!! I admire her for being so diligent! Kourtney is definitely an example to our family. There are many times where I feel I learn more from my children then they learn from me!

Thank you Kourtney for sharing this wonderful talent you have with all of us!! You are so special and we love you soooo much!! Keep up the good work!! You are amazing!!

Silly Girl

Makell loves playing house and pretending she is a mom. She just loves babies! It is very common to see her with not only one baby but four or five at one time. She never wants to leave any out. I love to listen in on her "parenting skills". She is such a sweetheart! She is going to be a wonderful mother when she grows up. I have always found it remarkable how nurturing she is when she plays with her dolls. She has such a sweet spirit about her. Today she told us her baby "Hallie" (she named her baby after our newest little neighbor) was tired and needed a nap. She was going to go and put her in her crib.
Adam walked in our room where she had moved her babies crib and found this!! She didn't want to leave "Hallie" alone so she decided to crawl in with her!! She is the sweetest little thing. I still don't know exactly how she was able to fit. If you notice in the picture her baby doll is the same length as the baby bed.
She was holding her baby tight and telling her; "Shhh, don't cry. You're mommy is right hear." Make my heart melt! Our children bring so much joy and happiness into our lives!! We are so blessed to have such sweet and wonderful children!!

Having Fun with Dad!!

I absolutely love the relationship Adam has with our three wonderful little girls! He is such a wonderful father! They love when they are the center of his attention! Some of their favorite things are when Adam chases and tickles them!! This place can get rather loud and chaotic with three screaming little girls and lots of laughing and giggling.
Makell really knows how to get her dad! I don't know where she learned this but she loves to get Adam by giving him "wet willy's". She knows she can get a pretty big reaction out of him. I just happened to get a picture of her "slimming" up the finger before the delivery!!
"Girl Power"!!! It took team work! GOOD WORK GIRLS!! A job well done!!
They have so much fun and love him dearly!! I am so grateful for the close relationship he has with each of them!! Thanks for being the wonderful father you are!!
